One Comes One Goes

Shodo, which is the Japanese art of calligraphy, is used to express the concept of, “ichi-go ichi-e” which means to treasure the unrepeatable nature of a moment as it only comes once in your lifetime.

Sumi ink and red seal mud on rice paper. Silk and rice paper scroll bound with traditional rice glue. Woven silk cord. Lacquered wooden dowl.
